Der Hintergrund: Nachdem Qigong ganz allgemein im China der Kulturrevolution verp\u00f6nt war, setzte in den 70er und 80er Jahren des vergangenen Jahrhunderts ein Umdenken ein. Man besann sich wieder auf den gro\u00dfen Wert dieser Methode f\u00fcr die Volksgesundheit &#8211; sie sollte nun m\u00f6glichst schnell und fl\u00e4chendeckend verbreitet werden.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Um das zu erreichen, wurde zwar das uralte Wissen aus der enorm gro\u00dfen Vielfalt der Qigong-Bewegungen genutzt. Diese wurden aber unter p\u00e4dagogischen und modernen medizinischen Gesichtspunkten modifiziert und ganz zielgerichtet neu zusammengestellt. Sie sollten f\u00fcr die Allgemeinheit leicht zu erlernen sein, wenig Theoriekenntnisse voraussetzen und sich zur Behandlung verschiedenster Beschwerden eignen.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">So kam es zur Festlegung der 18 Bewegungen des Taiji-Qigong durch den TCM-Arzt Prof. Lin Housheng, die in dieser Form als offizielle Gesundheitsempfehlung propagiert und &#8211; anders als bei den 8 Brokat\u00fcbungen &#8211; auch ganz einheitlich publiziert und verbreitet wurden. Neben den Brokaten geh\u00f6ren sie heute zu den weltweit beliebtesten Stilen &#8211; wer mit Taiji-Qigong vertraut ist, kann \u00fcberall ohne weiteres in laufende Kurse einsteigen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ich selbst habe die 18 Bewegungen des Taiji-Qigong beim chinesischen TCM-Arzt Prof. Sui QingBo erlernt, der seit 1986 eine Pionier-Rolle bei ihrer Verbreitung in Deutschland einnimmt. Einige der Bewegungen \u00e4hneln denen der 8 Brokat\u00fcbungen; andere sind etwas dynamischer und raumgreifender, da sie dem &#8222;Schattenboxen&#8220;, der chinesischen Kampfkunst Taijiquan, entlehnt sind.
